Holidays to Papua

Papua  is the largest and easternmost province of Indonesia. It comprises most of the western half of the island of New Guinea, it is also known as Western New Guinea. Jayapura is the capital and is situated in the cradle of Yos Sudarso Bay.

Papua is a diverse land, with its most impenetrable jungles in the world and snow-capped mountain peaks and glacial lakes. It is a land of natural splendour and beauty;  with massive stretches of marshlands, scenic beaches, green grassy meadows and fast flowing rivers carving gorges through the land.

Papua has a population of about 2.25 million. It has some 240 different tribal peoples, each with its own language and culture making Papua a thriving traditional culture and an incredible biodiversity. There are  fascinating reefs in the north and down south you can enjoy some of the most impressive diving areas to explore. The best way to get about Papua is by flying.
